Levels of Care Offered at Our Facility
Abbey Manor offers a wide range of care levels and options depending on the need of the resident. Our residents’ health, happiness, and well-being are at the forefront of our priorities. Abbey Manor can offer an individualized approach to each resident with our high staff-to-resident-ratio.
Lower Levels of Assisted Care
Some of our residents are very independent and need minimal assistance with the activities of daily living. We like to give these residents their freedom while assuring them we are there if they need us. Typically, these residents have little to no memory loss and can move under their power – whether that’s by walking freely, with a walker, or a wheelchair.
We do offer assistance with bathing, but most other daily hygiene is done by the resident. Other caregivers on staff can administer medication, take blood sugar levels, and assist in any other way if needed.
Higher Levels of Assisted Care
If a resident needs a little more assistance than what’s described in the lower level, a higher level or assisted care may be needed. Here, our caregivers can help with mobility and assistance with the activities of daily living. If the resident has a medical condition, our staff will closely monitor it to ensure they are getting the care, medication, and rehab needed. Residents with memory loss may also be included in our higher level of care program to help with communication as well as other memory-related needs and activities.
Memory Care
Abbey Manor can care for residents with moderate to severe memory loss, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease. Our facility caters to individuals with memory loss and makes our residents feel comfortable, relaxed, and at home. Our caregivers in memory care are specially trained to offer a higher level of care to our residents to conduct memory activities, help with daily living, and monitor medical conditions.
